Privacy policy
What this site collects, what stays in your browser, and how to opt out.
Short version: the names and options you type never leave your browser unless you create a share link, and the site uses Google Analytics to count visits. Last updated 20 October 2026.
What stays on your device
The entries you type, the results of your spins, your settings (spin time, sound, confetti, auto-remove) and any wheels you save are stored in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to this site's servers and the site cannot read them. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
Share links
Share link encodes your current list into the address of the page, after the # sign. Browsers do not send that part of the address to the server, so the list is not uploaded. Anyone you give the link to can see the list, so do not share wheels that contain information other people should not see.
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited, from which countries, on which kinds of devices, and for how long. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell returning visitors from new ones and to measure a visit. The data is aggregated; it does not include the contents of your wheel, your entries or your results.
You can prevent this in any of these ways:
- Install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Block cookies or analytics scripts with a browser setting or a content blocker. The wheel works exactly the same without them.
- Use your browser's private mode, which discards the cookies when you close the window.
Google's own description of how it handles this data is at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Server logs
The hosting provider keeps short-lived access logs (IP address, requested page, browser identifier) for security and to keep the site running. They are not combined with analytics data and are not used to identify visitors.
Cookies
The only cookies are the ones Google Analytics sets, described above. The site itself does not set cookies; preferences are kept in local storage instead.
Children
The wheel is used in classrooms, often by children, but it does not ask for and does not need any personal information from anyone. Teachers should avoid sharing links that contain full student names outside the class.
